In Oct 2020, Molly was diagnosied with cancer. Due to the location of the tumour and because it had spread, the vet advised against surgery.
Feeling sad does not change the situation so we decided to produce a documentary about Molly to promote the awareness and adoption of Singapre Specials.
Molly is an abandoned Singapore Special who was rounded up for culling. Luckily for her, she was rescued by a shelter, Just for Paws and adopted by us in Sept 2019.
Molly's life is a microcoism of many community dogs in Singapore but with a lucky twist. Many of these dogs lived in highly stressful environment and are treated with hostility.
That was what Molly went though before she was rescued and adopted. We want that lucky twist for all community dogs.
The story of community dogs is also the stories of community dog feeders. The groups and individuals who go out of their ways to feed, protect, care and find these dogs a home.
The film pays tribute to these heros who worked hard to make life comfortable for Singapore Specials.
The solution for the community dog's well being is simple but to realise it is a long road.
