In 2021, Trippy, a 3 legged Singapore Special puppy, was adopted. It was a moment of happiness and joy not only for the puppy but everyone at Purely Adoptions, the rescue group who saved Trippy and his family.
A dog feeder alerted Purely Adoptions to a Singapore Special who had gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies. The puppies were born into a dangerous and almost fatal situation.
One of the puppies, later named Trippy, had an injured leg. Without medical attention, Trippy will die of infection. To make things worse, their mother was rounded up and would be culled in 72 hours.
Happy ending
To save the family, Purely Adoptions bailed the mother dog from detention while other volunteers began the work to rehome the family and to give Trippy urgent medical care.
Their efforts ended happily with the entire family adopted by different owners. These owners organized regular gatherings for the mummy dog to meet her children!
We use Trippy’s rescue to uncover a network of people who made the rescue a success and to understand the social capital that helped effect change.
