Story of Kenry

We were alerted to Kenry on 28 Jan 2018. He was a community cat and was found to have an ingrown nail. We rushed down intending to remove the nail. Upon arrival, the nail had already dropped off.

However, Kenry did not look well, so we took him to the vet for a check-up. Kenry is FIV+, heart murmur, and kidney failure.

The vet also commented that if Kenry goes back to the street, he will probably survive for another month or two. But with proper care, he might be able to live for a few years.

Kenry has a home!

Kenry’s kidney condition meant he needs a daily subcut so we decided to adopt him. Initially, Kenry was very shy and would stay at the same spot and not moved much.

Thanks to Seng Seng and siblings, they made Kenry feel welcome and loved. Slowly, Kenry began to bloom. He began interacting with the rest of the cats and even grooming each other.

He became a very loving, affectionate, and sweet cat.

Seeing Kenry bloom and seeing him happy is simply amazing. All the effort into his special care and daily subcut is worth it.

As cats age, it is normal for health issues to arise, especially if they do not have access to good food. However, with proper care, good food, and lots of love, they can enjoy a good quality life and bloom in an affectionate and loving family.

We hope Kenry’s story can inspire others to take in cats who are not well and help the bloom. He is our inspiration when we take in cats who are FIV+ or who have heart or kidney failure. We hope to do for the cats what we did for Kenry.

We are very proud of Kenry, and we feature him in Gold-D catnip pallets and Gold-D Renal wet food.

Happy Birthday Kenry

When Kenry’s health improved, we were so happy for him, and we organized a birthday party for him. We invited everyone to sign on his birthday card, and it became a yearly celebration.

This year, we cannot do that because of COVID, so we invite everyone to send Kenry a birthday card with your best wishes. We will put all the birthday cards together and frame it as a birthday present for Kenry.
